A rare sight today and now with us on “Sale or Return”, is this right hand drive 1975 BMW 3.0CS. In generally good all round condition and in the owners words just needing some final “getting at” to move it to being a very nice condition car. The lovely turquoise metallic body work is in very good order with only some very minor areas that will need addressing. The black cloth interior, apart from some slight wear to the uppermost corners of the front seats from operating them to access the rear seats and some small pieces where the wood trim could be improved, is otherwise in very good condition. Mechanically the engine starts easily and runs very well, while the automatic gearbox selects gears as designed. The rest of the general mechanics and electrics are all good. Being offered at a sensible price to allow the new owner room to carry out improvements if they wish to.
This very rare and desirable 1964 “S2 Elan” has lived most of its life in sunnier climes and has recently under gone some major recommissioning by a previous owner. During this process he met the vendor that was selling a Manx Norton motorcycle, a deal was struck and the car became the vendors. He had been told that part of the work carried out was a rebuilt engine, but having had an S2 before he was not happy with the performance, so shipped it to the UK where a Lotus specialist stripped it revised the cylinder head, fitted a performance cam shaft and over hauled the cooling system “Now” the car is performing as it should. As you can see by the pictures, much work has taken place and many new parts fitted. Things like the headlamps actuators have been replaced by new ones, the inside trim has been upgraded by a specialist firm, the dynamo and control box are new and set to give 30amps, the rev counter and speedo were overhauled in UK as well. The car does run and drive but does still need further recommissioning but as the vendor says ” This car is an early […]
Probably one of the prettiest V Dub Bay Window Campers on the market today. Having just undergone an 18 month program of improvements, the end result is as you can see. From its very expensive respray into period “Porsche Mint Green over 70’s VW white”. This was done after all areas of concern were addressed, including new metal replacement drivers side door step, seat belt mounts, sliding door outer sill, rear arch half panels. Then new rubber seals were fitted throughout, doors windows etc. New rear bumper and mounts. New chrome work and locks. Very expensive “Super light” alloys were fitted and low profile tyres, this with the lowered suspension on the Van and the colour, helped to obtain the “Cal Look” that the owner was aiming for. Inside the dash was colour coded, an expensive wood and ally steering wheel fitted and the front cab area resprayed. Seats were all in good order so just cleaned and re-padded where needed. A rather loud stereo utilising a Sony CD player, 2x Alpine 700W amps and a 10 Speaker surround sound system is fitted. The engine is a rebuilt 1600cc Twin Carb with lightweight aluminium fly wheel attached to which is […]
Here’s a bold statement “Probably the best 1979 BMW 733i on the market today” ! The last time this car was seen in public was in 1999, since then it has been locked away in its garage until unfortunately its only owner from new, yes ONE owner from new, passed away. With only 23000 miles on the clock this car is truly outstanding with things like its spare wheel, jack and BMW tool kit never having been used. In 1995 it won at the BMW Drivers club concours de elegance with paperwork to prove along with every piece of paperwork ever issued in its history file. Pictured having its MOT test during which the tester and his staff could not believe what they were looking at and which it passed with flying colours. No it is not cheap but real quality cars never are and how can you value something when there is nothing to compare with it on the market today.
This lovely 1978 Mercedes 450SL has only had two keepers since 1984, the current keeper since 1995. With only 120471 recorded on the clock, there is a fully stamped Mercedes history up to 80869 in 1987 but then there are old mots and bills for work done that look to point to this being correct but cannot be warranted. Prior to being taken of the road for refurbishment in 2006 the car received a new fuel pump, brakes all round, wheel bearings and exhaust, plus MOT at 119483 miles and the cost of £1420.00. Re-emerging for its next MOT in 2016 with 119501 and its current one, through to April 2018 at 120141 recorded miles. So only a total of 978 recorded miles in the last 11 years. Body work is very good, with very good rear arches, nice bright paint work and exterior chrome. Interior looks to be original and in good order, just a wear patch on the driver’s seat base. The soft top is in excellent order with a good rear window and the original factory hard top is with the car and in good shape. The legendary V8 under the bonnet fires straight up and shows […]
Rare in the US, even more rare in Europe is this Limited Edition “007 Model” 2004 Thunderbird. Ford commissioned 700 only “worldwide” in this special Coral colouring to replicate the car driven by Halle Berry in the James Bond film “Die another Day” (the coral color is apparently the same colour as the Bikini she wore in the film I know, don’t ask??). As the title says, this rare and desirable Thunderbird was supplied new from the importers to Jonathan Ross (Google “Jonathan Ross Thunderbird” to see all the pictures). When the current owner received the car it had been stood unused for a time, the cosmetics had suffered and it had an engine fault that has since been rectified along with a service that he carried out himself. The bright work on the outside of the car has been replaced so it’s now as new again and any small defects in the paintwork were professionally corrected. The interior needed little more than a good clean but the vendor had all the seats recolonised, he did however retain the tasteful Leopard print sun visors Mr Ross had fitted ! (See picture). What you now have is a mint, low mileage […]
Manufactured in 2003, the year that both Ford and Harley Davidson celebrated 100 years in business, they threw the lot at this superb truck. Beautiful black leather and chrome interior, fully loaded with reverse camera, heated seats etc etc (far too much to list) and with the “Supercharged” 5.4 Litre V8 under the hood, a claimed 0 – 60 time of 6 seconds!! That is damn quick in a truck this size running on normal pump fuel. Just as impressive and probably more important was the claimed 60 – 0 mph distance of just 126 feet! This lovely example was not registered new until 2007 so is on the later “56” plate and as you can see is in excellent all round condition and obviously is “fully loaded” one thing to note is you will see in the back the standard arm rest unit between the seats has been removed and very cleverly an extra seat has replaced it, giving it a 5 seater capacity, the owner does have the original if you wish to convert back. With only 51000 on the clock, it is not really even run in yet and the current owner has maintained it carefully, this […]
This beautiful 1938 Austin is the product of one man’s dream in his later years, to recreate the very first new car he owned. With money not being an issue, this is the result. Unfortunately as is so often the case, soon after being finished ill health and age caught up with him and he was unable to drive it more than a handful of times, before eventually passing away. Now after much thought his surviving family have asked us to offer it for sale at a fraction of the £37,000 pounds they say he spent on his dream! While the family asked a long term friend to get the car running (we can confirm it now does, selecting gears correctly with brakes free and working) after so little use and having been stored for so long, an amount of recommissioning should be expected . NOTE :While the body work etc has survived in excellent order there are some ” storage marks” evident on the wings from various push bikes etc being moved about in the garage it was stored in.
