This very nice in bright red, Alfa Romeo “Spider” has had just the one owner since being first registered in December 1997. From then till now it has only covered a mere 37500 miles and comes with a full service history that also shows the cam belt being done at 33749 miles in 2014. It has a full set of owner’s books in their original wallet and 3 sets of keys. That is the good news, the not so good is that at the tail end of 2017 it had an insurance claim for some damage to the paintwork on the bonnet which the owner was paid out for as he decided not to repair? Strange I know but it is listed on HPI as “Category N. No structural damage and repairable” so the very lightest damage of claims they show under today’s new listings. Now with us, repaired and on sale for the agent that purchased it. You will have to fill out the new V5 application form (supplied) as we do not want to add another owner, but there is no charge for this.
Mechanically the car is spot on and there is a current MOT through to next February. Cosmetics are very good throughout with just a random nick in the side of the driver’s seat. The roof is very good but unfortunately somebody had folded it away while very cold and what looks to of been a replacement rear window, has been split in the process so we are looking to get that repaired prior to sale.
Prices of low mileage examples of these pretty Italian convertibles are now steadily rising and this car with its very low mileage, full history and only the one owner should be for sale for much more, but has been priced accordingly due to its insurance claim. Shame but then if you don’t care about this why not benefit from this and just enjoy!
