So rare to find with such low mileage, this totally original (apart from the stereo) 1994 Chrysler Le Baron LX has covered an average of a mere 1850 miles per year, since being registered new here in the UK, August 1994.
With only 3 former keepers, one of which would have been the original dealer that would have registered on arrival in the UK, this car has survived exceedingly well. Body work, yes might have a slight bit of fade to the paint on the tops of the mirrors and the odd cat scratch but is rust free and is very presentable with all the nice shiny bits in place and in good order. The roof which is electrically operated and fully functional, again is original with only some minor wear on the edges and the interior red roof lining is excellent.
Inside is well, red! Super soft cloth seating, fully loaded with all the electrical options functioning, even the air con and in very good order throughout. Mechanically the Mitsubishi derived 3.0 litre V6 up front runs smoothly and gives a surprisingly quick ride when asked to, or more than happy just to stick the cruise control (untested) on and enjoy the ride at a leisurely pace. Auto box functions as designed and although it was self-maintained by the last owner so no bills to prove, I have no doubt when he tells me that he replaced the entire rear brake system (shoes, cylinders and drums) two new front legs as one was going soft, a rear wheel bearing complete with a new hub plus other bits oils and filters, to up keep the car properly
Coming with the car is every MOT it’s had right back to its first one at 3 years old, these help to back up the mileage of 45104 at its new MOT done today (25.07) which it flew through with no advisories. The tester commented how while never being undersealed floor of the car was still clean and corrosion free, could not have been out in salt in its life!
Only for sale now as the current owner has lost his indoor parking and does not want it to sit outside. This is a perfect first American car or a second car for when you don’t want to use your classic Yank.
