Having been part of a personal collection since being taken in P/x against an Aston Martin the current owner of this lovely Jaguar has asked us to offer it for sale on his behalf while also saying he would be happy to p/x it against either a Porsche or a Ferrari which must be over 35 years old and a manual car, cash in either direction.
Needing no introduction this 1994 XJS Convertible is powered by what is probably one of the best engines to find its way under that long bonnet, the 6.0 Litre V12. On the road they do not come much smoother, silky power accompanied by a lovely exhaust note and a smooth changing automatic gearbox, a wonderful GT car made to just chew up the miles which is exactly what the owner before him used the car for, trips to his home in France, bringing the car back once a year to have it serviced and so maintaining its service history.
Generally the body work is excellent with just the odd imperfection here and there, it is 26 years old and not a restored car after all. Inside is very well appointed and in again excellent condition with things like electric heated seats, electric mirrors, cruise control, the “Premium” stereo and twin air bags alongside all the leather and wood, combining to make the cockpit a very pleasant place to be. Notwithstanding that at the press of a button you get open air motoring for when the sun is out.
Currently out of MOT from not being used a fresh one will be carried out prior to sale and just for a bit of peace of mind a 6 month warranty will be included (T&Cs apply) in the asking price. You only have to look at recent auction results to see that the prices of nice XJs cars are massively up and show no signs of slowing so grab a bit of British car history while you can.
