Lancia Prisma 1.6ie “Symbol”. Last owner for 20 years, last 9 or so in storage. Only 44000 miles on the clock, original apart from Lancia Beta wheels.Has its original warranty registration card, service book with full history, maintenance hand book, owners book, all in the original Lancia Plastic folder!
Bodywise it is one of the most rust free UK Lancia’s you will find, i removed the r/h inner wheel arch cover its like new under there, still shiny factory paint. Underneath has been Waxoyled from new and there is NO rust evident. There is one small bubble on the drivers door that’s it. The lacquer had gone off on all the top painted surfaces, so they were resprayed professionally to a high standard. Interior is excellent, let down only by the owner removing an after market stereo, leaving holes in the two plastic storage buckets it the front foot wells and the rear parcel shelf (filled temporarily with speakers dropped in but not wired up) and no head unit. I have slipped what I think is an original unit in the hole but again not fitted properly or wired in. Seats are all lovely, carpet is excellent having had original over-mats on from new. Dash is fully functioning apart from the “performance/economy” gauge.
Engine/gear box/ clutch is as you would expect, lively and taught with that lovely twin-cam out front. The only criticism i do have is that although the brakes all work very well to MOT standard, no matter how many times i bleed them, i cannot get a pedal right at the top? Not a problem while driving, just annoys me. These cars are becoming collectable, when did you last see one? They make an excellent first classic, every day classic or just spend some time making her mint and you will have something no one else has for a very little bit of money. Thanks.
